Job summary

GFT in Chipley, FL is seeking a FULL TIME Assistant Manager for the Regional Transportation Management Center. This role serves as the RTMC Manager's second in command, overseeing daily operations, ensuring policy compliance, and coordinating with internal and external partners.

You will supervise staff, participate in meetings, prepare monthly performance reports, and update training and policy documents.

Qualifications

This role requires seven years in ITS supervisory/management in a similar facility/environment.
Experience supervising RTMC staff and coordinating operations across multiple stakeholders.
Proven ability to communicate issues clearly, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to train staff and maintain documentation per policy.

Responsibilities

Provide the RTMC Manager with a second in command to handle daily operations.
Directly supervise the Lead Operations Supervisor and RTMC staff.
Assist with problem resolution and policy compliance.
Coordinate with project managers and department leads for inter-agency alignment.
Attend meetings and participate in incident reviews and TIM activities.
Contribute to public relations and monthly performance reports.
Update and communicate changes to the PPM/ COO and training materials.
Ensure full staff coverage and on-call readiness as required.
