Job summary

HDR is seeking a South-Central Region Resources Business Group Director to lead regional initiatives and align operations with HDR’s strategic plan. You will oversee budgeting, client development, and cross-functional partnerships across multiple states, including Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana.

You will mentor regional managers, drive recruitment for strategic hires, and ensure adherence to HDR values while delivering strong business results in a collaborative, employee-owned environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
• Minimum of 12 years experience in related field
• Professional registration (P.E. or equivalent)
• Demonstrated experience leading diverse teams
• Ability to collaborate with regional and area managers
• Active participant in HDR employee-owned culture and values

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead Resources Business Group initiatives for the South-Central Region
• Design, implement, and maintain a regional program including business development and quality standards
• Direct and deliver regional operations metrics including profitability and utilization
• Collaborate with operations, project teams, and leadership to enhance client development and cross-group opportunities
• Drive execution of initiatives with regional leadership and budget oversight
• Build a strong regional leadership structure and manage the RBG budget and investments
• Mentor Area Business Group Managers and key personnel
• Assist in strategic hires and recruitment activities
• Interface with Operations to strengthen business group performance
• Commit to HDR values and continuous quality improvement
