Job summary

HDR seeks a seasoned South-Central Region Resources Business Group Director to lead initiatives across the South-Central market, drive regional strategy, and guide client development. You will shape the Resources Business Group, manage budgets, and mentor Area Managers to deliver profitable outcomes.

You will partner with Operations, Market Sector leadership, and Regional leaders to ensure HDR's strategic priorities are met while upholding quality and HDR's employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture or closely related field.
• Minimum 12 years of related experience.
• Professional engineering registration is preferred.
• Proven ability to lead diverse teams and complex programs.
• Experience with regional or multi-site operations and budgets.
• Demonstrated commitment to HDR values and employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead Resources Business Group (RBG) initiatives for the South-Central Region.
• Develop and maintain an effective regional RBG program and budget.
• Direct and optimize regional RBG operations and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with area operations, project teams, and Market Sector leadership.
• Drive cross‑business group opportunities and client development strategies.
• Mentor Area Business Group Managers and key personnel.
• Support strategic hiring and recruitment in the region.
• Maintain alignment with HDR's strategic priorities and quality standards.
• Represent HDR in community and client engagements.
