Job summary

Air Methods is seeking a Rotor Wing Regional Relief Pilot to cover bases in the Southeast region. The role ensures aircraft airworthiness and safe transport of medical crew and patients within an assigned area, adhering to FAR, AIM, GOM, and Air Methods policies.

Qualification includes 2–5 years’ related experience with an AA degree; Bachelor’s degree preferred and required pilot ratings (Commercial & Instrument, ATP).

Qualifications

• AA degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school with 2–5 years of related experience
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Commercial & Instrument Rating in category and class of aircraft (required)
• ATP rating in category (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Operates Air Methods aircraft in a safe and legal manner.
• Performs pre-flight checks and signs off Daily Flight Log.
• Final authority for aircraft operations and safety of passengers and cargo.
• Conducts detailed flight planning with little notice to exacting standards.
• Participates in meetings, projects, committees and community outreach.
