Job description

The Regional Recruiter is responsible for high-volume, full-cycle recruiting to support manufacturing operations across an assigned multi-site region. This role partners closely with Plant/Operations leaders and HR to fill hourly production and skilled manufacturing roles (e.g., Production Operators, Material Handlers/Forklift, Maintenance, Quality, Warehouse) across multiple shifts, ensuring a strong candidate experience, timely starts, and compliance with hiring and safety-related requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage high-volume, full-cycle recruiting for hourly production roles across an assigned region, including intake meetings, sourcing, screening, interview coordination, selection, and offer process.
  • Partner with Plant Managers, Production/Operations leaders, and HR to align on headcount plans, shift needs, start dates, attendance expectations, and critical skills/experience.
  • Develop and execute regional recruiting plans to support ramp-ups, seasonal demand, and turnover-sensitive roles; build bench strength for frequent openings.
  • Source candidates through high-volume channels (job boards, referrals, community partners, staffing partners, walk-in traffic where applicable) and targeted outreach for hard-to-fill skilled roles.
  • Run and support hiring events (open interviews, job fairs, on-site/virtual events) and coordinate fast, compliant selection decisions to meet production demands.
  • Conduct structured phone/video screens and/or in-person interviews; assess for safety mindset, reliability/attendance, shift flexibility, relevant manufacturing experience, and ability to meet job requirements.
  • Coordinate interview scheduling across multiple sites and shifts; maintain frequent communication with candidates to reduce no-shows and improve show rates.
  • Partner with HR and site leadership to facilitate offers, background/drug screens, physical/fitness-for-duty requirements (as applicable), and onboarding readiness for day-one productivity.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the applicant tracking system (ATS) and ensure data integrity for reporting and compliance.
  • Track and report recruiting metrics such as time to fill, time to start, candidate flow, event conversion, source effectiveness, and no-show/early attrition trends; recommend improvements.
  • Ensure consistent and compliant hiring practices, including EEO, interview documentation, and adherence to company policies and local/state/federal employment laws.
  • Promote the employer brand in local markets and strengthen community pipelines (technical schools, workforce boards, veteran organizations, community groups) to support ongoing manufacturing hiring needs.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • 3+ years of recruiting experience (corporate and/or agency), including full-cycle recruiting.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting high-volume hourly hiring (manufacturing, distribution, or similar operations), including managing multiple requisitions with tight timelines.
  • Experience supporting multi-site recruiting or a defined territory; ability to build local pipelines in multiple labor markets.
  • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); comfort learning HRIS/timekeeping systems as needed.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws and fair hiring practices; ability to maintain compliant documentation and consistent selection processes.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to move quickly while maintaining quality and candidate experience.
  • Ability to travel within the assigned region; flexibility to support off-shift hiring events as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of recruiting experience with high-volume manufacturing, distribution, skilled trades, or other operations environments.
  • Experience recruiting for production operators, maintenance technicians, electricians/mechanics, quality technicians, and warehouse/forklift roles.
  • Experience planning and executing high-throughput hiring events (open interviews, same-day offers) and improving show rates/time-to-start.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) or other languages relevant to the regional labor market.
  • Experience recruiting in production environments and/or partnering with staffing agencies (temp-to-hire) for manufacturing workforce needs.
  • Familiarity with common ATS/HR systems and recruiting analytics.
  • PHR, SHRM-CP, or other recruiting/HR certification.
Competencies
  • Consultative partnering and influencing
  • Candidate-centric communication and responsiveness
  • Data-driven decision making and reporting
  • Process discipline and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently in a field-based role
  • Confidentiality and sound judgment
  • Continuous improvement mindset
Travel / Work Conditions
