Job summary

Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) seeks a Records and Discovery Manager (MA5) in Everett, WA, to lead the regional Dependency Discovery Unit. The role focuses on records management, retention, and producing complete copies of records for dependency discovery, reporting to the Area Administrator.

You will mentor staff, train regional leadership on laws and rules, and ensure timeliness and accuracy in disclosures across the region.

Qualifications

• Six (6) years total in supervisory/manager roles, with three (3) years in Records Management, Dependency Discovery, or Public Disclosure.
• Bachelor’s degree plus five (5) years of experience in two or more specified areas (research, policy analysis, business analysis, project leadership, operations, policy development, records management, dependency discovery, or public disclosure).
• Demonstrated supervisory experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Regional Dependency Discovery Unit and supervise Forms and Records Supervisors.
• Provide direction to units and ensure timeliness and thoroughness in responding to discovery requests.
• Lead records management and dependency discovery activities for DCYF Child Welfare Region 3.
• Develop performance goals and provide annual feedback through evaluations.
• Provide training and mentorship to new unit members.
• Serve as primary contact for regional staff, IT, and the Office of the Attorney General on records management and discovery.
• Ensure compliance with state statutes and governing discovery practices.
