Job summary

Volkert is seeking an experienced Real Estate Specialist to support the Midwest Region in Indianapolis, IN. You will perform title searches, prepare documents for real estate acquisitions, and negotiate land rights to advance client projects.

Ideal candidates have 0–3 years in Right of Way or real estate, strong analytical and communication skills, proficiency with MS Office, and Indiana real estate license and notary preferred; a pre-employment drug screen is required.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years of experience in Right of Way or real estate.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Indiana real estate license and notary preferred.
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR.

Responsibilities

• Perform title search updates to determine ownership and encumbrances.
• Prepare documents for real estate acquisitions for project clients.
• Negotiate land rights acquisitions.
• Negotiate settlements of property damage claims from construction.
• Assemble and deliver transfer documents and land agent notes.
• Prioritize and manage multiple projects with strong organization.
• Obtain drafted documents for due diligence purposes.
• Maintain real estate document files and records.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned.
