Volkert Inc. is seeking an experienced Survey Manager for the Midwest Region, based in Indianapolis, IN. The role requires leading a survey team, coordinating subcontractors, and developing proposals while upholding safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate holds an Indiana-registered Professional Land Surveyor license with 5–10 years of project management experience and a track record of delivering on client expectations.

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (Indiana) is required.
• 5–10 years of Project Management experience.
• Desire and ability to obtain licensure in additional states.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Judgment and decision-making skills.
• Complex problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Safety oriented.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening; Volkert adheres to federal guidelines regarding testing.
• Valid driver's license and a satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR).

Responsibilities

• Build a team and client relations.
• Be a member of a survey team to meet schedules, client requests, and production expectations.
• Coordinate and manage outside survey subcontractors.
• Implement QA/QC practices for final survey deliverables.
• Develop fees and write/review proposals.
• Ensure compliance with company safety regulations.
• Communicate regularly with team members and operation managers to keep projects on schedule and meet client expectations.
