Volkert is seeking an experienced Real Estate Specialist to support the Midwest Region in Indianapolis, IN. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and focuses on title searches, document preparation, and negotiations for property rights.

Candidates should have 0–3 years in Right of Way or real estate, strong analytical and communication skills, and knowledge of Microsoft Office. A state real estate license and notary are preferred; a valid driver’s license and clear MVR are

Qualifications

• 0–3 years of experience in Right of Way or real estate.
• Strong analytical and communication skills required.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Indiana real estate license and notary commission preferred.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and maintain safe conduct.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory MVR.

Responsibilities

• Perform title search updates to determine ownership and encumbrances.
• Prepare documents for acquisition of real estate rights for projects.
• Negotiate for acquisition of land rights and for settlement of claims.
• Prepare, assemble, and deliver file correspondence and transfer documents.
• Maintain organized real estate document files.
• Prioritize multiple projects with strong organizational skills.
• Obtain drafted documents for due diligence related to real estate.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

We are currently searching for an experienced Real Estate Specialist to support our Midwest Region located in Indianapolis, IN.

To be considered for this position, applicants must have, at minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent.

What you'll be doing:

• Perform title search updates as needed to determine ownership of real estate and encumbrances on property
• Document preparation as needed for the acquisition of real estate rights to permit the client to construct their projects
• Negotiates for acquisition of land rights
• Negotiates the settlement of property owner damage claims that result from construction of projects
• Prepares, assembles, delivers hard copy of file correspondence, transfer documents, land agent contact notes for company and acquiring authority
• Must be able to prioritize and handle multiple projects concurrently using exceptional organizational skills
• Communicate and obtain drafted documents for due diligence purposes related to the underlying real estate
• Maintains files of real estate documents
• Perform additional responsibilities as requested or assigned

What you need to have:

• 0 - 3 years of experience in Right of Way or real estate
• Must have strong analytical skills and communication skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft office suite
• IN real estate license and notary commission preferred
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment. Volkert adheres to federal guidelines, which may include testing for substances such as marijuana. Please note that federal regulations may differ from state-specific guidelines
• Valid driver's license and a satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR)
