Job summary

FirstBank PR is seeking a Purchasing Supervisor to lead sourcing, procurement, and inventory for Puerto Rico and the Eastern Caribbean region. You will guide supplier evaluations, contract negotiations, and governance while supporting branches and departments with procurement needs.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in procurement leadership, strong negotiation and analytical skills, and fluency in English and Spanish to communicate across regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Administration, Finance, IT or Engineering; MBA/Master's preferred.
• 3–5 years of progressive experience in procurement, sourcing, vendor coordination, and compliance.
• Bilingual English/Spanish written and spoken communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic sourcing initiatives including RFPs, bids, vendor evaluations and negotiations.
• Oversee supplier performance, risk, and contract administration to maximize value.
• Manage purchasing activities, inventory, and timely procurement of offices and services.
• Analyze market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Standardize processes, implement tools, and improve procurement workflows.
• Ensure compliance with policies, controls, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, IT, Operations and leaders across regions.
