Job summary

Cross Street Real Estate LLC in Chicago seeks a Regional Property Manager to lead a team of Property Managers, ensuring top-tier tenant experiences and owner relationships. The RPM reports to the VP of Property Management and aligns operations with company standards.

The role requires 5+ years in property management, strong leadership, and proficiency with Yardi and RentCafé. Expect 30% travel, after-hours availability, and collaboration across leasing, maintenance, and admin teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years Property Management experience.
• Minimum of 3-5 years managing a team and/or office.
• Demonstrated capability to manage, supervise and develop staff and resolve personnel issues.
• Property management certification and/or licensure (a plus).
• Strong knowledge of and experience with property maintenance required.
• Strong knowledge of the Chicago Residential Landlord Tenant Ordinance (CRLTO) required.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with property management software systems such as Yardi and RentCafé.
• Proficient in MS Office (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strategic/critical thinking and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and develop a team of Property Managers.
• Oversee vendor management, including contract negotiation and performance evaluation.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams to resolve escalated issues, schedule repairs and resolve emergency maintenance issues in a timely manner.
• Manage capital repair and improvement projects.
• Collaborate with the VP of Property Management to set strategic goals and objectives for the department.
• Review summary reports for all properties and provide feedback for improvements.
• Communicate with owners and cross-department colleagues to resolve account issues.
