Georgia-Pacific’s Project & Engineering Group is seeking a Project Manager to join our Southeastern Regional Projects team. This role provides project leadership for 5-10 projects in various phases across multiple locations in the region.

This is a remote role with 50% travel supporting manufacturing facilities in the Southeast.

Our Team

The GP Projects & Engineering team collaborates across the U.S. on capital project development and execution, focusing on quality delivery and safety, partnering with mills as one team.

What You Will Do

1. Coordinate with PMO, business units, and plant leadership to deliver projects up to $15M that reduce costs, increase capacity, and improve safety.
2. Promote a safety-focused team culture and ensure project accountability.
3. Lead project teams, removing obstacles and ensuring clear expectations.
4. Facilitate design-build interfaces and manage project lifecycle from scope to closure.
5. Oversee procurement, change management, stakeholder engagement, and project startup readiness.
6. Apply lean principles for continuous improvement and develop external partner relationships.

Basic Qualifications

• At least 3 years of manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of project and construction management systems.
• Willingness to travel 50% regionally.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Experience with LEAN project delivery and industrial construction projects.
• 5+ years in project management, especially in pulp, paper, or building products industries.
• Experience with design-build and integrated project delivery.
