Responsibilities

This is a remote position; however, the incumbent must reside within the Houston Metro Area/Southeast TX.

The Project Manager manages design and construction activities for capital projects, overseeing project communications, contract administration, change orders, procurement, financial projections, and schedules. They interface with hospital operations leadership and report to senior management.

  1. Schedule and manage project delivery for assigned projects.
  2. Support project teams in establishing scope, schedule, and budget, maintaining objectives throughout all phases.
  3. Ensure effective internal and external communication regarding project status.
  4. Coordinate between construction teams, consultants, and facility operations.
  5. Monitor construction to ensure compliance with documents, standards, laws, and regulations.
  6. Develop project management teams, establish organizational responsibilities, and oversee reporting on budget, scope, and schedule issues.
  7. Maintain relationships with approving authorities at various government levels.
  8. Negotiate fees and business decisions with vendors in accordance with company policies.
Qualifications
  1. Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent experience.
  2. At least 2 years of experience in project management for design and construction projects.
  3. Strong knowledge of project budgets and controls.
  4. Successful track record with healthcare capital projects.
  5. Experience leading project meetings and presentations.
  6. Knowledge of project delivery methods such as design-build, design-bid-build, etc.
  7. Experience developing project scope, schedules, and budgets.
  8. Understanding of construction processes, building, and safety codes.
  9. Familiarity with regulatory agencies like OSHPD/HCAI (for California positions).
  10. Self-confidence and leadership qualities.
  11. Proficiency in Google Office Suite, MS Project, Excel, Blue Beam, Adobe Pro, or similar tools.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional licensing or certifications.
  • Knowledge of health facility preconstruction services and equipment planning.
  • Skills in problem-solving, risk analysis, and contingency planning.
  • Experience with Lean Process Improvement, Change Management, and Evidence-Based Design.
Pay Range

$46.96 - $68.10 per hour
