Job summary

Emerson in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Project Manager/Project Engineering professional to manage regional projects and collaborate with the proposal and sales teams to ensure successful execution. You will provide on-site support for installation and startup, while coordinating with engineers and management across the customer experience.

Ideal candidates hold a BS in engineering, 5+ years in PM or project engineering, and are willing to travel up to 30%.

Qualifications

Must have related experience in Project Management of custom engineered products or services.
5+ years’ related experience in service, project management or project engineering.
Travel up to 30% is required.
Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

Oversee engineers executing regional projects and provide project management and engineering support based on customer needs.
Primary lead for all aspects of the project including kick-off meetings, BOM and network design generation & release, maintaining project documentation, and assisting in financial forecasting with management and the customer.
Resolve customer issues such as technical, contractual and warranty situations by balancing financial and customer satisfaction goals.
Plan and implement project startup schedules for systems with your engineering group and customers with sliding schedules and conflicting manpower demands.
Work closely with the Aftermarket Sales Team in the region to identify potential projects and develop work scopes for regional projects.
