Cobalt Recruitment in New Jersey is seeking a senior Project Executive (PX) to lead and mentor Project Managers across multiple high-profile projects in the Northeast, focusing on affordable housing and multifamily renovations.

This brand-new leadership role offers autonomy within six months, client-facing responsibilities with owners, housing authorities, and property management teams, plus a regional travel schedule.

Qualifications

• 10–15+ years of progressive construction management experience, with time spent as a Senior Project Manager or Project Executive.
• Affordable housing experience is highly preferred.
• Experience in commercial occupied spaces or multifamily ground-up environments also valued.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills with a polished, client-facing presence.
• Stable career history with reputable builders or construction management firms.
• Degree preferred but not required—proven experience and leadership matter most.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and guide multiple Project Managers across active job sites, ensuring excellence in delivery and client satisfaction.
• Serve as a trusted, client-facing leader who builds strong relationships with owners, housing authorities, and property management teams.
• Communicate effectively with field teams, subcontractors, and senior leadership to maintain seamless project coordination.
• Travel as needed to project sites throughout New Jersey, New York, and occasionally out of state.
• Play a key role in expanding the project team by recruiting and mentoring top talent.
• Operate with autonomy within six months, driving results without constant oversight.
• Manage sensitive on-site situations and tenant relations with professionalism and tact.
