Job summary

Midea America Corp. is hiring a Field Project Manager to own on-site delivery from arrival to sign-off for data center cooling solutions. You will coordinate installation, commissioning, and startup with engineers and contractors, ensuring customer satisfaction and safe, compliant site execution.

The role requires hands-on field experience, ability to read drawings, and strong communication with customers and internal teams. Travel to sites is expected; valid U.S. driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in field installation, commissioning, or project management of HVAC/mechanical equipment.
• Reads mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and P&IDs.
• Knows OSHA and construction site safety.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Own equipment delivery, receiving inspection, installation, and commissioning on site.
• Manage local mechanical and electrical contractors — schedule, scope, quality, safety.
• Run startup and commissioning with support from remote engineering.
• Be the go-to contact for the customer — answer questions, resolve issues, set expectations.
• Train customer teams on equipment operation and maintenance.
• Keep the project on track: progress reports, site logs, punch lists, sign-off docs.

Midea is bringing its data center cooling solutions — chillers, CDUs, and thermal management equipment — to the U.S. market. We need a Field Project Manager to own on-site delivery from arrival to sign-off. You'll be the person on the ground ensuring every piece of equipment is delivered, installed, and commissioned properly. You'll coordinate contractors, face the customer, and loop in engineering when needed.
