Job summary

America Works of Washington, Inc. seeks an experienced Program Director to lead the PacMtn Workforce Program across Lewis, Mason, Pacific, and Thurston counties.

The role oversees strategic direction, service delivery, and contractual performance, traveling between Centralia, Lacey, Aberdeen, and Shelton to ensure consistent high-quality services. The ideal candidate has a strong background in workforce development, program management, and stakeholder engagement, with experience managing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 5 years in workforce development or related program management.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of supervisory experience across multiple locations.
• Experience managing performance-based contracts and achieving measurable outcomes.
• Experience with multi-site programs and working with workforce boards and government agencies.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to travel regularly throughout Lewis, Mason, Pacific, and Thurston counties.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for the PacMtn workforce program.
• Oversee program implementation and daily operations across all program offices.
• Travel regularly between Centralia, Lacey, Aberdeen, and Shelton locations to support staff and operations.
• Develop and improve program strategies to increase engagement and employment outcomes.
• Identify operational challenges and implement solutions to improve program effectiveness and participant success.
• Lead the program with the goal of providing high-quality employment and job placement services while meeting or exceeding contractual goals.
• Monitor program performance metrics and contract deliverables.
• Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate program staff across multiple locations.
• Provide coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to staff.
• Build and maintain partnerships with workforce boards, employers, community-based organizations, and funding agencies.
• Ensure participants receive high-quality employment services and address barriers to employment.
