Job summary

MSI is seeking a Regional Product Director in Orange, CA to drive product planning, forecasting, and lifecycle management. You will support sales growth through portfolio optimization, marketing initiatives, and inventory strategies to ensure product availability and profitability across the region.

The role requires travel up to 50%, a Bachelor’s degree, and at least 2 years in an analytical role. Salary ranges from $90,000 to $140,000+, with annual bonuses based on performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required and highly preferred in a quantitative or business discipline.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Excel: intermediate to advanced (pivot, v/h lookups, Power Query) experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on forecasting, demand planning, inventory management, and safety stock to maintain high product availability.
• Support sales leaders with portfolio management, pricing, customer growth, profit optimization, and inventory flow.
• Analyze sales trends, demand factors, and forecast accuracy.
• Provide sales teams with product knowledge and marketing support through training and presentations.
• Communicate new product information, manage samples, and ensure smooth product launches at branches.
• Advise on inventory strategies for new, existing, and discontinued products.
• Oversee internal transfers, identify slow-moving inventory, and manage markdowns.
• Resolve product-related questions, technical issues, and coordinate inspections and claims.
• Monitor market competition to identify opportunities for growth and revenue.
• Prepare reports and track product life cycles regionally.
• Travel to branches, attend trade shows, and represent the company at industry events.
