Job summary

Westlake Chemical’s Epoxy plant in North America is seeking a senior Process Safety leader to head the PSM program, setting goals, standards and expectations.

Lead PSM and related programs across Epoxy sites, collaborate with NA regional and site HSE teams, and push the Vision of Zero while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Requires a BS in Chemical Engineering with 5–8 years of PSM experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and ability to influence cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Chemical Engineering or similar with 5-8 years PSM experience.
• Extensive experience with process safety risk assessment tools and regulatory compliance.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; able to influence teams and drive change.
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Proficient with data management tools and process safety technologies.

Responsibilities

• Leadership: Set tactical and strategic direction for Process Safety Management and related programs for Epoxy and within the NA region.
• Actively participate on the Westlake PSM, Epoxy COE, NA Regional and Site HSE Teams.
• Keep abreast of Corporate and Epoxy PSM strategic initiatives and expectations and provide guidance & feedback regarding all
• Focus on the Vision of Zero as it relates to PSM incidents - develop and carry out programs that effectively control process safety risks in the company in line with regulatory compliance
• Lead efforts to improve cost reduction and process effectiveness in the areas of process safety management
• Direct and coordinate third party process safety consultants in NA region
• Ability to lead/support other regional engineering needs/projects at any of the Westlake Epoxy sites.
