Job summary

Westlake Chemical is seeking a lead for the Epoxy plant's Process Safety Management (PSM) program. You will develop and implement goals, standards, and expectations for the PSM program.

The role requires 5-8 years of PSM experience in chemical environments, with leadership and strong communication skills to influence teams and drive safety performance. Expect collaboration across NA teams and potential travel.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering with 5-8 years of PSM experience in chemical/petrochemical/refinery settings.
• Extensive experience with process safety risk assessment tools and regulatory compliance.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with ability to influence teams and drive change.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities and making sound decisions.
• Proficient with business systems, data management tools, and process safety technologies.

Responsibilities

• Set tactical and strategic direction for PSM for Epoxy and NA region.
• Actively participate on Westlake PSM, Epoxy COE, NA Regional and Site HSE Teams.
• Provide guidance on corporate and Epoxy PSM initiatives and feedback.
• Lead cost reduction and process improvements in PSM areas.
• Direct and coordinate third-party PSM consultants in NA region.
• Support other regional engineering needs/projects at Westlake Epoxy sites.
