Job summary

Canon U.S.A., Inc. is seeking a Regional Support Technician for Production Print Equipment to support multiple sites, including Eagan, IL, Itasca, Irving, and Carmel. You will diagnose complex hardware/firmware/workflow issues on-site and over the phone, delivering timely solutions.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent plus 4–6 years related experience.
• Associate degree in mechanical or electronics.
• Printer knowledge and testing/diagnostic applications.
• Ability to achieve customer satisfaction.
• Good writing, speaking and listening skills.
• Available for work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
• Ability to obtain security/clearances as required by customers.
• Desirable certifications: A+, Network+, MCSE.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-going technical, on-site and phone support to regional Canon USA technicians and service agents to troubleshoot complex hardware, firmware and workflow issues.
• Lead regional training on new adjustments, repairs, upgrades and troubleshooting procedures.
• Create, organize and disseminate information to help engineers perform duties more efficiently.
• Maintain and update problem records; escalate to Product support when needed.
• Manage regional FCO database to ensure compliance and timely installation/disposition.
• Collaborate with Product support group on information sharing and best practices.
• Handle special projects or tasks as assigned by regional service Director.
