Job summary

Canon U.S.A., Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician II to diagnose and repair production print equipment on-site in the US-IL region. The role requires basic technical skills, the ability to travel, and the capacity to work in a 24/7 environment with shift/on-call responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will have a HS Diploma or GED plus 1–2 years of related experience, be comfortable with internet environments, and complete the PDIF training. A transportation allowance is provided.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required, plus 1 to 2 years of related experience.
• Basic understanding of internet environments and ability to complete the PDIF new-hire class.
• Must be able to travel with valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Capable of shift work and on-call rotations in a 24/7 environment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose basic mechanical, software, network, and system failures using established procedures.
• Service and repair designated equipment to Canon standards and specifications.
• Maintain knowledge of multiple product groups and basic troubleshooting diagnostics.
• Meet and exceed customer demands with efficient, responsive field/off-site maintenance.
• Maintain technical information and field/service reports and Canon property.
• Provide direction to less experienced technicians and escalate issues as needed.
