Job summary

Telgian Engineering & Consulting is seeking a Regional Practice Leader for Fire Protection Engineering, based in Florida with footprint in Orlando and other Florida markets. The role leads a team of fire protection engineers, drives business development, and engages clients across major metropolitan areas.

The position requires extensive leadership, regional strategy, and market expansion efforts, with travel to client sites and conferences.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Architecture/Engineering or Fire Protection fields.
• 5+ years of sales experience preferred.
• 5+ years of management experience preferred.
• PE certification or willingness to obtain is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership of an established operating region.
• Work with an Assistant Regional Practice Leader to ensure efficient completion of work using performance metrics.
• Contact potential clients to establish rapport and arrange meetings.
• Research organizations and individuals to identify new opportunities.
• Increase value of current customers while attracting new ones.
• Find and develop new markets and improve sales.
• Attend conferences, meetings, and industry events.
• Develop quotes and proposals for clients with the business development team.
• Maintain knowledge of fire protection, risk, building codes and construction technologies; identify trends and propose proactive solutions.

If you are looking for a place to put your leadership and engineering expertise to the test with a growing company leader, this is the job for you! As a Regional Practice Leader (RPL) you will be a key member of Telgian Engineering and Consulting (TEC), working to develop a team of Fire Protection Engineers as we continue to grow! This role will lead business development initiatives across key Florida markets, including Miami, Orlando, Tampa, and/or other major metropolitan areas. Candidates must reside in Florida and be located within a reasonable commuting distance of a major airport to support client engagement, regional travel, and business development activities.

The RPL provides leadership, business development, fire protection engineering and consultation services that support highly variable and diverse project scopes for Telgian clients as part of a multi-discipline team. More specifically, you will:

• Provide overall leadership of an established operating region.

Your Qualifications

• 5+ years of working experience in the Architecture/Engineering field required; 4-year college degree – Architecture/Engineering a plus;
• 5+ years of sales experience preferred;
• 5+ years of management experience preferred;
• Professional Engineer (PE) certified or willing to obtain, a plus;
