Tenneco is seeking a Director of Regional Portfolio Accounting to lead accounting operations, close cycles, and ensure balance sheet integrity across multiple locations. This role partners with cluster leaders and plant controllers to uphold US GAAP and internal controls.

The successful candidate will drive continuous improvement, coordinate with Shared Services and Audit teams, and develop accounting teams to deliver accurate financial results in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• CPA/CA/CMA or equivalent professional certification preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including leadership of accounting or close activities.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and operational accounting.
• Experience working in a multi-location, multi entity, distributed controllership model; Private Equity and manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience working with Shared Services or outsourced accounting organizations preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to influence stakeholders and drive resolution.

Responsabilités

• Serve as the primary accounting and controllership partner for assigned business clusters.
• Provide leadership and support to Cluster Leaders and Plant Controllers on accounting, financial reporting, and control matters.
• Oversee the timely and accurate completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities.
• Lead monthly accounting reviews and monitor significant accounting matters, reserves, unusual transactions, and financial risks.
• Promote balance sheet integrity through reconciliations and timely resolution of aged items.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP, internal-control requirements, and close procedures.
• Support internal and external audits and remediation of findings.
• Monitor internal-control deficiencies and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Oversee the quality of accounting services provided by Shared Services and third-party providers.
• Coordinate with Corporate Accounting on complex accounting matters.
• Drive standardization, automation, and continuous improvement across accounting processes.
• Coach and develop Plant Controllers and accounting teams; foster ownership and accountability.
