Job summary

Tenneco in Texas seeks a Senior Accountant to support financial planning, reporting, and month-end close in a manufacturing environment. You will handle general ledger activities, cost accounting, and internal controls while coordinating with SAP and other ERP tools.

Strong knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, and teamwork is essential. Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance and 5+ years of experience are required; SAP/10Stream experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in financial accounting or cost accounting in manufacturing.
• Proficiency with SAP and 10Stream; strong Excel skills recommended.
• Knowledge of GAAP and Sarbanes–Oxley (SOX) compliance is required.

Responsibilities

• Support Strategic Planning Process, Annual OPG, Monthly Forecast and profitability reporting.
• Perform month-end close including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Maintain reporting tools tracking KPIs and profitability improvement plans.
• Assist with capital appropriation requests and ROI analyses.
• Ensure compliance with SOX and company policies across accounting activities.
• Coordinate with internal/external audit requests and safeguard assets.
