Job summary

Tenneco Inc. is seeking an experienced accounting professional to join our Michigan manufacturing finance team. You’ll perform essential accounting tasks, maintain controls, and prepare financial reports, supporting management decisions.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and at least five years in a manufacturing accounting environment, with strong Excel, SAP, and SOX experience. This on-site position offers growth within a global manufacturer.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in financial accounting or cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, macros, and mainframe-based accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations for multiple ledgers.
• Maintain reporting tools tracking KPIs and profitability analyses.
• Assist with AP, payroll, capital assets, general ledger and standard costing systems ensuring SOX compliance.
• Coordinate with internal/external audits and safeguard company assets.
• Prepare financial reports and analyses to support management decisions.
• Assist with intercompany reconciliations and general ledger integrity.
