Job summary

Rise Baking Company in Tucker, GA, is seeking a Regional Plant Controller to lead financial performance across multiple manufacturing sites. You will own the regional P&L, oversee month-end close, and drive cost optimization initiatives in a PE-backed environment.

The role requires 10+ years in accounting/finance with plant-finance leadership, strong ERP/Excel skills, and a proven ability to deliver insightful analyses to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• 10+ years in progressive accounting/finance, with 5+ years in plant finance across multiple sites.
• Direct experience in food production, beverage, consumer products, or process manufacturing.
• Experience in PE-owned environments or high-accountability, metrics-driven settings.
• Experience supporting PE sponsor through hold period, onboarding, value creation, and exit prep preferred.
• Involvement in M&A due diligence, integration, or carve-out transactions preferred.
• Lean/Six Sigma or continuous improvement experience from a finance leadership perspective preferred.
• ERP proficiency (SAP or equivalent); strong Excel and financial modeling on multi-site data.
• Mastery of cost accounting: standard costing, ABC, multi-site variance, inventory management.
• Track record of leading financial processes across multiple locations.
• Familiarity with FSMA/HACCP cost tracking and SQF costs.
• Excellent presentation skills; comfortable with CFO/Operations leadership.
• Willingness to partner cross-functionally to solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Own regional plant P&L and ensure accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual close across all plants.
• Standardize close calendar, COA, and reporting package across Plant Controllers in the region.
• Review plant-level financials before submission; resolve discrepancies with Plant Controllers.
• Deliver concise financial analyses and presentations to leadership with critical insights.
• Identify cost savings, productivity, and efficiency improvements in material, labor, and overhead.
• Define and govern regional finance standards and KPI definitions.
• Lead cross-plant process reviews and adopt best practices regionally.
• Drive ERP usage, cost center structures, and reporting hierarchies regionwide.
• Support consolidation with corporate finance and PE sponsor requirements.
• Lead or support finance system implementations and upgrades impacting sites.
• Lead regional CapEx reviews, ROI rigor, and portfolio alignment.
