Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our patient-focused lab services team. You will collect blood specimens from patients of all ages, perform outpatient EKGs, and manage specimen processing with attention to safety and accuracy.

The role requires a phlebotomy certificate, competency in venipuncture (≥100 procedures), and experience with Epic or similar EHR systems. Travel between regional sites and reliable transportation are essential for this position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Phlebotomy program completion certificate or competency with at least 100 venipunctures required.
• Basic computer skills; ability to use Epic or similar EHRs, registration tools and lab applications.
• Strong customer service skills and reliable transportation to arrive at work locations.

Responsibilities

• Interprets orders, obtains blood specimens from patients using proper collection methods.
• Performs outpatient EKGs as needed and operates centrifuge.
• Ensures proper specimen transfer and storage; communicates with schedulers and managers.
• Travels between sites for unscheduled absences and emergencies.
• Adheres to Network and departmental policies and procedures.
