Job summary

Hannaford Supermarkets in USA-ME-Gardiner seeks a licensed Pharmacist to join our retail pharmacy team. You will lead professional and business operations within the department, supervise staff, and ensure compliance with state and federal laws while delivering patient care.

Responsibilities include immunizations, staffing and training, collaborating with store management, and upholding company policies. A flexible schedule including nights and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist licensed in the state(s) where practice is required.
• Current background check and drug testing as required.
• Active immunizing pharmacist certification.
• Strong knowledge of state and federal pharmacy laws.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, healthcare professionals and the community.
• Willingness to work a flexible retail schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and lead associates.
• High integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality; authorization to fill Medicare and Medicaid prescriptions.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Store Managers and other associates.
• Responsible for professional and business operations within the pharmacy department.
• Identify store level sales and marketing opportunities in conjunction with the Store Manager.
• Supervise the performance of duties and responsibilities of all pharmacy associates.
• Ensure adequate staffing and training of pharmacy personnel.
• Observe and adhere to all Company policies and the Pharmacy Standard Practice Manual.
• Perform immunizations according to Company's Standard Practice and expectations.
• Maintain neat, well-groomed personal appearance.
• Maintain solid communication within the department and throughout the organization.
• Work within our Company's management planning (MPP) guidelines to maintain productivity.
• Support Company safety standards; communicate needed repairs or maintenance; keep area free from debris and hazards.
