Job summary

Cook Children's Health Care System in Fort Worth seeks a Manager of Patient Relations to lead all patient relations efforts, serving as a neutral liaison between patients/families and caregivers. You will ensure compliance with patient rights regulations and oversee service-recovery improvements across clinical areas.

The role requires strong communication and leadership, with collaboration across Legal and Administration to keep policies up to date.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
• Minimum of three years healthcare experience, preferably in an acute care setting.
• Two+ years of experience with patient grievances and complaints.
• Experience leading crucial family meetings with hospital leadership regarding complaints.
• Leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all patient relations efforts and serve as liaison between patients/families and caregivers.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements involving patient rights, complaints, and grievances.
• Monitor internal practices to ensure compliance with auditing agencies and laws.
• Provide strategic direction and oversight to improve service recovery across clinical areas.
• Coordinate with Legal and Administration to keep internal policies up to date.
