Job summary

Cook Children's Health Care System is seeking a Provider Relations Coordinator to act as the primary liaison with contracted physicians, hospitals, and provider offices. The role is field-based, conducting onsite orientations, training, and relationship management to support engagement, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance.

The Coordinator travels to assigned service areas to deliver education, distribute scorecards, and resolve issues while communicating initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School graduate with advanced training in healthcare, business, or a related field.
• Five (5) years of operational experience in a managed care organization to include provider orientation, education, issue resolution and communications.
• Face-to-face visits to provider offices and travel within territory assignments/counties.
• Experience presenting information to individuals and groups.
• Experience with governmental managed care programs desired.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison between Cook Children's Health Plan and its contracted providers.
• Conduct onsite provider orientation, education, training, and relationship management activities.
• Travel throughout assigned service areas to deliver in-person education and provide provider performance scorecards.
• Resolve operational issues and communicate health plan initiatives to ensure providers have necessary tools and resources.
• Maintain accurate provider directory information and develop provider communications materials.
