Job Description

As a Regional Channel Manager, you will manage all sales activities for DDN's designated channel partners in support of revenue and business unit expansion objectives. This challenging and highly visible position requires an individual with a proven ability to drive incremental business with channel partner field sales while meeting aggressive revenue goals. You must be results-driven, possess a strong understanding of the storage marketplace, be customer-focused, and have a successful track record in expanding the partner base and building technical and sales partner relationships. The role involves collaboration across functions including Marketing, Sales, Operations, Engineering, and Customer Support.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Driving partners to maximize sales and partnership potential through sales best practices, training, and support.
  2. Acting as the primary interface for DDN account executives for designated accounts and channel-generated opportunities.
  3. Establishing channel field contacts and teaming campaigns with technical and sales personnel.
  4. Working with marketing to drive programs and events to generate new prospects.
  5. Identifying and recruiting channel partners to meet expansion goals.
  6. Managing and being the main contact for assigned channel partners.
  7. Establishing revenue targets and participating in account planning and sales campaigns.
  8. Meeting and exceeding sales quotas and providing accurate forecasts.
  9. Reporting weekly on pipeline and forecast using Salesforce.
  10. Participating in partner seminars and events.
  11. Identifying support requirements and driving training programs for technical self-sufficiency.

Qualifications include:

  1. Minimum 7 years of sales experience, with at least 5 years in channel sales management.
  2. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science preferred; MBA a plus.
  3. Proactive, results-oriented, with leadership qualities and a strong presence.
  4. Proven success in exceeding sales quotas and building channel programs.
  5. Strong relationships with Tier 1 and Tier 2 channel partners in high-performance computing and enterprise IT.
  6. Knowledge of storage technologies and competitive landscape.
  7. Experience with target account selling and consultative sales techniques.
  8. Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
  9. Ability to work cross-functionally within DDN and with partners.
  10. Strong reputation with partners and end-user accounts.
  11. Willingness to travel up to 50%.
