Job summary

City of Indianapolis, Indy Parks, seeks a Regional Manager to supervise park managers and oversee core recreation services across arts, environment, youth programs, sports, aquatics, and self-enrichment. The role requires independent judgement and strong fiscal oversight.

Reports to the Deputy Director of Programs and Operations; oversees budgeting, procurement, training, performance metrics, and stakeholder communications to ensure high-quality park services for the community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus six years of managerial experience in the public sector.
• Strong fiscal and personnel policy knowledge and leadership skills.
• Experience with cash flow projection across multiple facilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, PeopleSoft, NeoGov and ActiveNET.

Responsibilities

• Administers park management in the region including budgeting and contracts.
• Leads a regional team to deliver recreation programming for youth, families and adults.
• Develops and monitors regional operating objectives and revenues.
• Prepares annual regional operations budget and tracks expenditures.
• Ensures compliance with city policies and reports to the Deputy Director.
