Job summary

Vermont State Parks seeks an energetic leader to oversee facilities management and infrastructure for 17 parks in the Northeastern region. The role covers Waterbury Area, Groton State Forest and Northeast Kingdom, emphasizing collaboration and proactive maintenance.

Ideal candidates have strong knowledge of facility management, contracting, and supervision, with the ability to lead a growing maintenance team in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3+ years in park maintenance, building or structure construction and maintenance, trail construction and maintenance, or project coordination/supervision, including 3+ years supervisory experience.
• Two years of college coursework or an associate's degree with 5+ years of related work and 3+ years supervisory experience.
• High school diploma with 7+ years of related experience and 3+ years supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the facilities management and infrastructure program for 17 parks in the Northeastern region.
• Manage and supervise the five regional maintenance staff.
• Coordinate contracting, projects, scheduling, and maintenance activities to ensure visitor safety and experience.
