Job summary

EyeCare Partners is seeking an Executive Director, Regional Operations to lead a portfolio of ophthalmology practices with hands-on leadership during stabilization or transformation. You will drive performance improvement and operational excellence while partnering with a Regional VP across markets.

The ideal candidate has extensive multi-site practice management experience, strong financial acumen, and a proven ability to influence physician leaders and deliver measurable business results.

Qualifications

• Significant multi-site physician practice management experience.
• Ability to travel extensively throughout the region (60–75%).
• Proven track record in turnaround and performance improvement.
• Strong financial, operational, and analytical skills.
• Ability to influence physician leaders and build partnerships.
• Experience guiding organizations through growth and transformation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary operational partner to the Regional Vice President across markets.
• Lead assessments to identify performance gaps, opportunities, and risks.
• Develop and execute market-specific action plans for improvement.
• Provide executive leadership and stabilization for underperforming practices.
• Ensure execution of priorities, standards, and strategic initiatives.
• Monitor KPIs and address operational challenges proactively.
• Act as interim operational leadership during transitions when needed.
• Leverage data to remove barriers and improve revenue, EBITDA, and utilization.
• Build leadership capability through coaching and recruitment.
• Collaborate with Finance, HR, Marketing, Managed Care, IT, and others.
• Lead initiatives in onboarding, referral growth, patient access, and ASC performance.
