Job Summary
The RegionalOperations Manager is responsible for supporting and enforcing all safety, regulatory, and company policies and procedures while ensuring operational excellence across the assigned region. This role drives the efficient utilization of cylinder, vehicle, plant, and facility assets while optimizing operating costs related to production, distribution, and cylinder maintenance.
The position provides operational leadership to regional branch locations, ensuring compliance, efficiency, service excellence, and continuous improvement. The Regional Operations Manager also evaluates, recommends, and oversees regional capital investments to support business growth and operational effectiveness.
Compensation
SalaryRange: $100,000 - $120,000 annually
Key Responsibilities
Safety, Compliance & Quality
- Ensure all branch locations operate in compliancewith applicable regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements,including but not limited to:
- Food and Drug Administration (FDA)
- Occupational Safety and HealthAdministration (OSHA)
- Department of Transportation (DOT)
- Environmental Protection Agency(EPA)
- National Fire Protection Association(NFPA)
- Promote and maintain the highest standards of safety,quality, production, and distribution through training, communication,audits, corrective actions, and accountability.
- Conduct thorough accident and incident investigationsto identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor and drive safety performance through bothleading and lagging safety indicators.
Operations Leadership
- Ensure branch operations consistently meet customerservice, quality, productivity, and delivery expectations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives thatenhance operational efficiency, service quality, safety, and costeffectiveness.
- Develop and monitor staffing levels and productivitymetrics to ensure efficient operations.
- Partner with leadership teams to support customerservice and sales objectives by maintaining high productivity, costcontrol, and employee engagement.
- Provide recommendations for process improvements andcost-reduction initiatives across the region.
- Support and lead the operational integration ofacquisitions within the assigned region.
Training & Employee Development
- Train, coach, and mentor Customer Service Managersand branch employees on safety, production, distribution, and operationalbest practices.
- Foster employee development and help team members achieve their full potential.
- Promote a culture of accountability, engagement, andcontinuous learning.
Asset Management & Utilization
- Ensure efficient utilization of cylinder assets bymonitoring inventory levels and controlling stock throughout the region.
- Address cylinder demand requirements throughinventory reallocation or capital investment recommendations.
- Optimize utilization of vehicle fleets and productionequipment by evaluating distribution routes, production volumes, andoperational workflows.
- Recommend and support improvements, consolidations,or investments that enhance efficiency and asset utilization.

- Facilities and infrastructure
Facility & Equipment Maintenance
- Oversee maintenance programs for vehicles, production equipment, facilities, and buildings throughout the region.
- Ensure assets are maintained in a safe, reliable, andcost-effective manner to support operational objectives.
Financial & Strategic Planning
- Provide input into annual operating budgets andstrategic planning initiatives.
- Monitor performance against operational plans andgoals.
- Identify opportunities to improve service levelswhile reducing overall costs.
- Monitor and evaluate key operational metrics,including:
- Cost per cylinder filled
- Cost per cylinder delivered
- Vehicle utilization
- Cylinder utilization
- Other operational efficiencymeasurements
Required Qualifications
Education Required
- Bachelor's Degree in: Engineering
- Business Management
- Industrial Management
- Related field
Experience Required
Strong related and commensurate operations leadershipexperience.
Preferred
- 1–3 years of experience in a gas production ordistribution environment.
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of gas production, filling, anddistribution operations, methods, and practices.
- Understanding of applicable regulations, includingDOT, OSHA, FDA, CGA, EPA, and NFPA requirements.
- Ability to develop organizational structures, personnel plans, and equipment resources to support current and future operations.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to achieve results through others.
- Strong planning, organizational, and executioncapabilities.
- Experience in employee hiring, retention, performancemanagement, coaching, and corrective action processes.
