Job summary

Ohio Transmission Corporation is seeking a Regional Operations Manager to oversee the performance, safety, and service delivery across multiple facilities in the designated region. You will drive productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction in the repair, service, and distribution of rotating equipment and pump systems.

Lead site leaders, optimize processes, manage budgets, and report KPIs to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of operations or service management experience.
• Experience managing multiple sites or facilities.
• Strong knowledge of pump systems and rotating equipment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or Business.
• Willingness to travel within the region.
• Lean Six Sigma or other CI certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for operations across multiple locations within the region.
• Ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of pump and rotating equipment repairs and field service operations.
• Oversee facility performance related to production output, quality, on-time delivery, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
• Collaborate with facility managers and cross-functional teams to improve processes, reduce costs, and drive operational excellence.
• Manage staffing levels, workforce planning, training, and employee development.
• Monitor KPIs across the region; provide regular reporting to senior leadership.
• Support regional sales and service teams by ensuring operational capabilities meet customer needs.
• Champion a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Drive standardization of work practices, procedures, and tools across regional locations.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cost control for the region.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and industry regulations.

Position Summary:

The Regional Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the operational performance, service delivery, and financial results of multiple facilities or service centers within a designated region. This role ensures alignment with corporate objectives while driving safety, quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction in the repair, service, and distribution of rotating equipment and pump systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and oversight for operations across multiple locations or service centers within the region.
• Ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of pump and rotating equipment repairs, rebuilds, installations, and field service operations.
• Oversee facility performance related to production output, quality, on-time delivery, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
• Collaborate with local facility managers, service supervisors, and cross-functional teams to improve processes, reduce costs, and drive operational excellence.
• Manage staffing levels, workforce planning, training, and employee development in collaboration with HR and plant leadership.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across the region; provide regular reporting and analysis to senior leadership.
• Support regional sales and service teams by ensuring operational capabilities meet customer needs and market demand.
• Champion a culture of safety and continuous improvement at all levels of the organization.
• Drive standardization of work practices, procedures, and tools across regional locations.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cost control efforts for the region.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and industry regulations.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in operations or service management, preferably in the rotating equipment, pump, or industrial service industry.
• Proven track record of managing multiple sites or facilities.
• Strong technical knowledge of pump systems, rotating machinery, mechanical seals, and related components.
• Experience leading teams in a repair, service, or manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, drive KPIs, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Epicor, NetSuite).
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or a related field required.
• Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned region.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with both OEM and aftermarket pump services.
• Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement certification.
• Prior experience integrating acquisitions or managing growth initiatives across locations.
