Job summary

Reworld Waste, LLC is seeking an Area Operations Manager to oversee multiple facilities in the Fairfax/Alexandria VA area and Montgomery, MD. You will report to the Regional COO and drive safe, profitable operations with strong P&L discipline while leading cross-functional teams across safety, maintenance, and engineering.

The role demands a track record in operations leadership, budget management, and continuous improvement initiatives, with a focus on Lean practices and measurable performance

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in operations management with leadership roles.
• Experience leading operations and maintenance execution with P&L accountability.
• Strong safety leadership and a track record of building high-performance teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering; Lean Six Sigma desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe, efficient and profitable operations across facilities in the region.
• Drive KPI-based performance with a focus on safety, reliability, and cost control.
• Provide coaching and development for TTF and MPF leaders and support cross-functional teams.
• Ensure regulatory and corporate safety, health, and environmental programs are followed.
