Job summary

Stake Center Locating is seeking a District Manager to lead a multi-state region, supervising Area Managers and field teams to ensure peak performance across operations, safety, and customer service. You will drive budgeting, staffing, and strategic initiatives while maintaining high safety standards and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a track record of leadership across multiple territories, strong financial oversight, and the ability to travel frequently to support regional operations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent leadership experience.
• Seven or more years of progressive leadership experience in utility locating, utility services, telecommunications, construction services, field operations, or a related industry.
• Experience leading multiple managers, locations, or geographic territories.
• Demonstrated success managing operational, financial, and safety performance.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively throughout assigned region.

Responsibilities

• The District Manager is responsible for the overall operational, financial, safety, customer, and workforce performance of a multi-state region.
• Provides leadership to Area Managers and frontline operations teams while ensuring consistent execution of company standards, customer commitments, and strategic priorities.
• Drives operational excellence, develops leadership capability, maintains strong customer relationships, and delivers safe, productive, and profitable performance across the region.
• Promotes and maintains a strong safety culture and ensures compliance with safety requirements across the region.
• Leads day-to-day operations, monitors productivity, service levels, quality, and costs, and manages labor and resources across the region.
• Assists with workforce planning, staffing reviews, and onboarding to improve staffing stability.
• Partners with HR, Recruiting, and Training to improve staffing and development.
