Job summary

Living Earth is seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to partner with the General Manager in overseeing regional operations, financial performance, safety, customer service, and people leadership. This hands-on role covers multiple locations, supporting site managers, district managers, and corporate teams to ensure adherence to standards and achievement of business objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations Management, Finance, Supply Chain, Logistics, Construction Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent combinations of education and relevant leadership or operational experience may be considered.
• Five+ years of progressively responsible operations, business, production, distribution, sales, or management experience is preferred.
• Previous supervisory or management experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience in multi-location, production, distribution, recycling, landscape materials, building products, construction supply, manufacturing, transportation, environmental services, or similar operational environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support execution of regional operating plans, performance objectives, strategic priorities, and company initiatives, and assume delegated responsibility for portions of regional operations as assigned by the General Manager.
• Visit and support assigned Living Earth locations to evaluate site operations, reinforce company standards, and address differences in market, facility, staffing, and operational needs.
• Evaluate site and regional performance using financial statements, budgets, forecasts, operational metrics, sales trends, labor data, inventory information, productivity measures, safety performance, and customer service indicators.
• Analyze regional profit and loss performance, including revenue, gross margin, EBITDA, labor costs, operating expenses, inventory, capital expenditures, and profitability, and identify opportunities to improve results.
• Assist with the development and monitoring of regional budgets, forecasts, operating plans, performance objectives, and strategic priorities.
