Job summary

KIPP SoCal Public Schools is seeking a Regional Operations Manager to lead emergency preparedness, student safety, and procurement across multiple campuses in Southern California. The role emphasizes policy standardization, cross‑site collaboration, and vendor management to ensure safe, efficient, and equitable learning environments.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of work experience in a fast-paced, high-capacity work environment (preferably within a school setting)
• Experience developing, implementing, and overseeing policies and procedures for multiple sites
• Demonstrated ability in leading projects with cross-functional teams and coordinating work
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects
• Effective teamwork and ability to communicate with multiple constituencies
• Comfort with ambiguity and entrepreneurial environment
• Willingness to travel between school sites across Southern California
• Preferred: experience with procurement platforms (Amazon Business or similar)

Responsibilities

• Lead ongoing development and improvement of standardized emergency procedures
• Coordinate annual Incident Command System and other emergency trainings
• Support school/regional teams in real-time emergencies on campuses
• Oversee compliance with laws and regulations for emergency preparedness, student safety, and procurement
• Oversee procurement processes and vendor relationships; assist with purchasing as needed
• Create and manage procurement systems and support school teams
• Liaise between school teams and regional Finance and Expanded Learning teams
• Document and share best practices in school operations
• Manage project moves and Prop39 processes for co-located campuses
• Design and facilitate training for Operations leadership; maintain operations website and resources
• Maintain compliance dashboards and regional communications
• Support events logistics for regional operations team
• Provide on-ground operations support at schools as needed
