Job summary

Texas Oncology in the Dallas Fort Worth West region is seeking a Regional Float Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) to provide cross-coverage across Medical, Radiation, and Infusion units. You will rotate through multiple clinics in the DFWW region and support a dedicated Float Pool team.

This full-time role offers varied assignments, opportunities to grow across oncology subspecialties, mentorship from leadership, and a path toward senior levels based on experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education; BSN preferred.
• RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum 1-3 years nursing experience.
• Comfort with EHR systems (OncoEMR, Epic, or similar).
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, planning, coordinating, and evaluating patient care.
• Conducting health assessments and providing education.
• Offering psychosocial support to patients and families.
• Administering therapies (medications, blood products) per protocol.
• Venipuncture, accessing ports, maintaining central lines.
• Monitor labs and consult on orders with providers.
• Manage triage calls and symptom management with documentation.
• Assist patients in accessing community resources.
• Cross-train and expand into subspecialties as the Float Pool evolves.
• Follow the Float Pool Playbook for expectations.
