Job summary

H&R Block is seeking an Area Experience Leader to oversee a portfolio of 4–6 offices, ensuring a high-quality consultative client experience. You’ll coach Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals, balance strategic oversight with hands-on leadership, and own office readiness and performance across locations.

Your role focuses on aligning priorities, improving execution, and delivering strong client outcomes and business results while traveling between offices as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• 3+ years work experience leading teams in a multi-unit environment with accountability for performance outcomes
• Strong client-centric mindset with experience delivering consultative client experience
• Proven leadership ability to coach, develop, and hold teams accountable
• Demonstrated ability to drive business and financial results while managing day-to-day operations across multiple locations
• Willingness to travel frequently between offices

Responsibilities

• Own consistent delivery of the consultative client experience across 4-6 offices
• Evaluate execution quality and client impact across locations to reinforce strengths and address gaps
• Drive adoption of new client experience processes, tools, and behaviors
• Lead Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals with clear expectations and coaching
• Provide coaching informed by observed behaviors, performance, and real-time feedback
• Identify patterns across offices and develop bench strength and talent
• Own revenue, growth, and operational performance across offices
• Monitor performance metrics and take actions to improve business results
• Ensure daily operations, staffing, scheduling, compliance, and SOP adherence across offices
• Own office readiness including facilities, equipment, and onboarding for seasonal demand
• Travel between offices to maintain in-person presence
