Job summary

H&R Block seeks a Multi-Office Leader (Area Experience Leader) to oversee 4–6 retail offices and ensure every location delivers a high-quality client experience with strong operational execution.

You will coach Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals, balance strategic oversight with hands-on leadership, and own office readiness, staffing, facilities, and day-to-day compliance across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years leading teams in a multi-unit retail, service, or operations environment with performance accountability.
• Strong client-centric mindset with experience delivering consultative client experience.
• Proven leadership capability with coaching and accountability.
• Experience driving business and financial results while managing day-to-day operations across multiple locations, including labor management.
• Experience leading through change and prioritizing across locations.
• Ability to travel frequently between offices to maintain presence.

Responsibilities

• Own consistent delivery of the consultative client experience across 4–6 assigned offices with disciplined standards.
• Evaluate execution quality and client impact across locations and implement improvements.
• Drive adoption of new client experience processes, tools and behaviors with visible leadership.
• Lead Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals, setting expectations and coaching for consistent performance.
• Provide coaching informed by observed behaviors and real-time feedback to strengthen team execution.
• Identify patterns across offices and develop bench strength and high-potential talent.
• Own revenue, growth, and operational performance across offices.
• Monitor performance metrics, identify trends and take action to improve results.
• Oversee daily operations including staffing, scheduling, compliance, SOPs, and service delivery.
