Job summary

Chicanos Por La Causa is seeking a Regional Office Coordinator to provide administrative support and coordination for a fast-paced refugee resettlement program in the Los Angeles region.

You will support the Program Director and Leads, organize records, manage priorities, and help ensure high-quality services while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in a human-services environment.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years’ experience as an office manager or other administrative duties.
  • 1 year of supervisory/administrative experience as an office manager or other administrative duties.
  • Preferred – 3 years of supervisory/administrative experience as an office manager or other administrative duties.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Program Director and program leads to keep day-to-day operations running smoothly.
  • Coordinate administrative activities, maintain organized records and information, support projects and priorities, and assist leadership.
  • Help keep communication, processes, and priorities organized so the team can focus on delivering high-quality services.

Regional Office Coordinator

Pay Rate: $70,304 annually

Chicanos Por La Causa, Inc. (CPLC) is a non-profit organization and one of the largest Hispanic Community Development Corporations in the United States. The organization began with a group of student and community activists in 1967 and was incorporated and received non-profit status in 1969. CPLC is committed to empowering individuals through health & human services, housing, education, and economic development.


The mission of CPLC's Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) is to promote the health, well-being, and stability of refugees, unaccompanied alien children, and other eligible individuals and families through culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and strengths-based services. HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT IN THIS ROLE?

You will provide a wide range of administrative support and organizational assistance to the Program Director and Program Leads, helping ensure that day-to-day operations run efficiently in a fast-paced, urgent, and high-accountability environment.


You will help coordinate administrative activities, maintain organized records and information, support projects and priorities, and assist leadership with the day-to-day needs of the regional office. You will help keep communication, processes, and competing priorities organized so the team can focus on delivering high-quality services.


You will use your strong organizational and administrative skills to anticipate needs, manage multiple responsibilities, and contribute to an efficient and collaborative office environment.


WHO YOU ARE?

You are organized, dependable, and able to stay focused when priorities shift. You enjoy keeping things running smoothly and can balance multiple responsibilities without losing track of the details.


You communicate effectively in both written and verbal English, and Spanish is strongly preferred. You are comfortable working with technology and productivity tools, including Google Suite, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. You are also someone who takes initiative, works well with others, and understands the importance of confidentiality, professionalism, and accountability in a human-services environment.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES


  • 2+ years’ experience as an office manager or other administrative duties.
  • Preferred but not required –Associate/ Bachelor degree from an accredited program/institution
  • 1 year of supervisory/administrative experience as an office manager or other administrative duties.
  • Preferred – 3 years of supervisory/administrative experience as an office manageror other administrative duties.
  • 21 years of age or older.
  • Maintain current licenses and certificates required for the position, including but not limited to
  • Provide proof of work eligibility status upon request.
  • Communicate effectively in writing and verbally in English (and Spanish strongly preferred).
  • Maintain computer literacy required to meet responsibilities of the position.
  • Highly proficient in Office programs such as: Google suites, excel, word, and power point.
