Job summary

Confidential Skilled Nursing Facility in Philadelphia, PA is seeking an experienced Regional Director of Nursing (RDON) to provide clinical leadership and oversight across skilled nursing facilities in the region.

The RDON will collaborate with facility administrators, Directors of Nursing, and clinical leadership to promote high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and strong clinical outcomes across assigned sites.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania.
• BSN preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years nursing leadership experience in skilled nursing or long-term care.
• Experience as Director of Nursing or regional leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of CMS requirements and Pennsylvania Department of Health standards.
• Experience with state surveys, QAPI, infection prevention, clinical compliance, and quality improvement.
• Willingness to travel between facilities in the Philadelphia area.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and support to Directors of Nursing and nursing leadership teams.
• Oversee nursing operations, clinical practices, staffing, and resident care across assigned facilities.
• Partner with facility leadership to develop and implement clinical improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including CMS and Pennsylvania DOH requirements.
• Support facilities with state surveys, regulatory compliance, and Plans of Correction.
• Monitor quality measures, clinical outcomes, infection prevention, documentation, and resident safety.
• Lead and support QAPI and performance improvement initiatives.
• Review clinical indicators and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Mentor, coach, and develop DONs, ADONs, Unit Managers, and other nursing leaders.
• Assist facilities with staffing, retention, and nursing leadership challenges.
• Collaborate with Human Resources and facility leadership on recruitment and retention initiatives.
• Promote consistent nursing policies, procedures, and clinical standards across assigned facilities.
• Conduct regular facility visits, clinical reviews, and leadership meetings.
• Assist with incident investigations, risk management, and follow-up on clinical concerns.
• Maintain regular communication with executive leadership regarding clinical operations and outcomes.
