Job summary

Children's Home of Wyoming Conference seeks a Maintenance Specialist to care for all buildings and grounds. You will perform routine and preventative maintenance to keep spaces safe for children and staff, covering multiple trades and responding to issue reports.

The role requires 3+ years across electrical, plumbing, construction, HVAC, or mechanics, with strong communication and documentation skills. Benefits include health coverage, PTO, and paid holidays.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in 3 or more maintenance trades: electrical, plumbing, constructions, HVAC, or mechanics.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, problem solving and organizational skills are required.
• Driver's License and ability to maintain insurability throughout employment required.

Responsibilities

• Perform general carpentry, electrical, and plumbing tasks.
• Perform drywall repair and replacement, and painting.
• Check functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarm) and ensure fire safety standards are met.
• Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues.
• Install appliances and equipment.
• Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps on walls etc.
• Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs.
• Snow removal plowing and shoveling, occasionally, as needed.
• Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g. ventilation).
• Collaborate with workers and other professionals during renovations.
• Complete reports and documentation that are required in a timely manner.
