Job summary

Children’s Receiving Home in Sacramento, CA seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform skilled and semi-skilled upkeep on buildings and grounds. You will back up the Operations & Maintenance Manager and coordinate with staff to minimize disruption for clients and staff.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of related experience, with knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and use of hand tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; minimum two years of related work experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, instructions, manuals.
• Skilled in maintenance tasks across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, grounds.
• Good communication and teamwork; maintain professional, confidential environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine repairs and preventive maintenance, including drywall, painting, minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and window repair.
• Operate and maintain hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Maintain equipment and grounds; keep inventory and report needs to supervisor.
• Provide CMMS updates and coordinate with staff to minimize disruption to clients.
