Job summary

ZEISS in Wixom, MI seeks a Regional Applications Manager to lead the safe, efficient, and profitable operation of a ZMS group. You will coordinate customer contract inspection, programming, and training services, balancing equipment and personnel with customer demands and revenue growth.

Role requires entrepreneurial thinking, willingness to innovate service products and processes, and the ability to drive productivity across the center. Flexibility for varied shifts and weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of manager experience with direct reports.
• 7–10 years of hands-on metrology lab experience.
• Four-year degree in engineering, math, or physics preferred.
• Ability to read engineering drawings for dimensional control requirements.
• Ability to operate ZEISS coordinate measuring machine and write/execute measurement plans.
• Strong computer skills and data analysis.
• Strong problem-solving and independent-learning abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic plan to grow contract inspection business.
• Drive productivity improvements and process innovations.
• Utilize ZEISS productivity tools for efficiency and accuracy.
• Maintain master schedule for resources and equipment.
• Prepare technical content for proposals and cost inputs.
• Lead project meetings and ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Oversee lab operations, quality, and compliance.
