Job summary

Ashley Furniture seeks a Regional Merchant to drive store-level product performance across 10–20 stores, aligning regional assortments with national strategy to maximize velocity, margins, and customer experience.

You will partner with National Merchandising, Merchandise Planning, Visual Merchandising, Store Operations, and Supply Chain to localize assortments, analyze velocity, and improve Sales Per Square Foot. Strong merchandising judgment required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in merchandising, business, retail management, supply chain, finance or related field.
• Experience in furniture or big ticket retail preferred.
• Proven track record of improving store sales and product performance.
• Experience managing multi-store retail environments.
• Core competencies include analytical thinking and cross-functional leadership.

Responsibilities

• Localize national assortments based on regional customer demographics and buying behavior.
• Identify assortment gaps and opportunities within core categories.
• Lead product assortment planning and floor execution for new openings and remodels.
• Monitor store sales, velocity trends, and adjust inventory allocation.
